THE PICTURES MADE FROM A CLAY AND LIME PLASTER.
We designed pictures on the walls using natural products.
Here are white faces made of lime and sand plaster. All brown features were made with clay, sand and sawdust plaster. We used clay from the building shop. This was the only time I used commercial clay, as I felt it lost some alive quality. We used other types of clay for painting the walls and green, sandy clay from the seaside.
We also sanded and oiled the floor with lineseed oil. We used cottage cheese , lime and very fine sawdust to fill the gaps. Cottage cheese contains natural caesin, and this acts like a glue. The lime melts the cottage cheese to make the caesin.
